{"id":43038,"date":"2024-11-13T22:25:10","date_gmt":"2024-11-13T22:25:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prototipo.chilehockey.cl\/?p=43038"},"modified":"2025-09-19T22:26:50","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T22:26:50","slug":"fih-oficializa-equipos-y-fechas-de-la-nations-cup-en-chile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chilehockey.cl\/index.php\/2024\/11\/13\/fih-oficializa-equipos-y-fechas-de-la-nations-cup-en-chile\/","title":{"rendered":"FIH oficializa equipos y fechas de la Nations Cup en Chile"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_blurb et_pb_blurb_1 et_pb_text_align_justified et_pb_blurb_position_top et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_blurb_content\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_blurb_container\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_blurb_description\">\n<p><strong>Lausanne, Switzerland:\u00a0<\/strong>The International Hockey Federation (FIH) is glad to announce that the third edition of the FIH Hockey Nations Cup (women) will be played in Chile from 23 February to 2 March 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The participating teams include some of the best hockey nations in the world, with even two of them \u2013 Japan and the USA \u2013, having played at the Paris 2024 Olympics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Canada<\/li>\n<li>Chile<\/li>\n<li>Ireland<\/li>\n<li>Japan<\/li>\n<li>Korea<\/li>\n<li>New Zealand<\/li>\n<li>Scotland<\/li>\n<li>USA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201c<em>For us it is a tremendous pride to be able to host an FIH event again. We will be the hosts of a Nations Cup! This is a giant achievement not only for the discipline, but for Chilean sport in general. We are waiting for all the players from several of the best teams in the world with open arms for action<\/em>\u201d, said Andr\u00e9s de Witt, President of the Chilean Field Hockey Federation and the Local Organizing Committee of the event.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the announcement,<strong>\u00a0FIH President Tayyab Ikram said<\/strong>: \u201c<em>It\u2019s with great pleasure that we\u2019re returning to Chile for another major FIH event. The South American country is a rising hockey nation and has always put together fantastic FIH hockey tournaments. I would like to thank Chile for hosting us once again and I wish all athletes to experience a great FIH Hockey Nations Cup in Chile!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The FIH Hockey Nations Cup was launched in 2021 with the aim of offering a top-level competition to the best-ranked teams not participating in the FIH Hockey Pro League and giving the winning team the option to be promoted to the FIH Hockey Pro League the next season, precisely.<\/p>\n<p>The first two editions of the FIH Hockey Nations Cup (women) were played in Spain (in Valencia in 2022 and in Terrassa in 2024).
