The former archer of Las Diablas died on Monday after a long fight against cancer. But it leaves us an unbeatable legacy in national sport.
The world of Chilean hockey is in mourning. After a long fight against cancer, Claudia Schüler died on March 27. The former archer of Las Diablas leaves us with a deep pain, due to her great commitment to this sport.
Something also shared by Andrés de Witt, president of FEHOCH, at a press point held during the same day at the Chilean Olympic Center.
"We are left by Claudia, an archer of Las Diablas. A reference for Chilean, American and World hockey. We have received a lot of affection from everyone from this sport," he said.
"For her, her second family were Las Diablas. And they went missing for Claudia, supported her and never left her alone. The legacy he leaves is tremendous and L @ s Diabl @ s will be the heirs," he added.
For his part, Miguel Ángel Mujica, president of COCH, also joined the words of the national hockey mandamas and said that "we join the grief and sadness of the Federation. But I want to look at it from a sports point of view. She was the big one responsible for us going to the World Cup."
No doubt, a game that continues to affect us, although at the bottom of our heart we know that you are in a better place, worthy of a sportsman like you. It was over 15 years defending Chile. Leader in and out of the court, your legacy will be eternal. Forever, Claudia Schüler.
