May 6, 2023. The Diablas do not rest in their preparation for the Pan American Games Santiago 2023 and, in that context, they were measured in a series of friendly meetings with South Africa, a competitive team that also came to the country to play their cards.
The first run was for the national team. A 2-1 in the Country Club (duel behind closed doors) that left good sensations for the future. However, in the next confrontation (disputed in Con Con) they suffered a painful fall by 2-1.
The result left the Diablas injured, who worked with everything to reverse what happened in Viña del Mar and to say goodbye to their people with a positive result. And they did it in a beautiful game.
The squadron led by Sergio "Cachito" Vigil was imposed by 1-0 in an intense dispute in the La Reina compound. The Ladies responded to their sympathizers, who came in mass to fill the stands to support this transcendental game. A beautiful and very familiar environment that inspires the future.
So things are now focused on their next objectives, which includes a tour of Europe between July and August (22-6). Although the picture seems much more positive after these good results.
