The Chilean female selection of grass hockey beat New Zealand by 2-1 in the bronze definition of the Cup of Nations in Terrassa. The party marked the goodbye of Camila Caram and the change of work of Sergio "Cachito" Vigil.
The Chilean women's selection of grass hockey won the bronze medal on Sunday at the Nations Cup 2024 which was organized in Terrassa, Barcelona, Spain. The Diablas got on the podium with the 2-1 victory over New Zealand in a historic result for Chilean hockey and sport.
In another solid and impeccable presentation - which was a rematch for the 1-0 fall in front of the same team in the debutta - the national squadron was imposed on the combined representative of Oceania thanks to the conversions of Josefa Salas and Fernanda Flores (and the discount of Tynan Rose).
This third place in the prestigious competition had special sensations for the plant that Sergio Vigil and Diego Amoroso drive. Captain Camila Caram fought her last matches with the Diablas after 18 years and the triumph was dedicated to her entire career (276 caps and 49 goals).
But it's not the only thing, because "Cachito" will change roles and say goodbye to the international arena. The coach, in a work already initiated under the Federation's Development and Masification Plan (FEHOCH), will travel the country under the responsibility of Head Coach National of Talents and Development.
The way of the Diablas to the podium
New Zealand 1-0 Chile
Chile 3-0 Canada
Chile 2-1 Japan
Spain 2-1 Chile
