The ones directed by Sergio "Cachito" Vigil will fight a friendly triangular in Montevideo to the local and Wales. All within the preparation for the Pan American Games.
The Diablas don't stop. The women's selection of national grass hockey trains intensively on the courts of the National Stadium, under the orders of Sergio "Cachito" Vigil, with a view to the Pan American Games Santiago 2023. The quote looks like the great goal of the Ladies in the year and that is why they have put in an arduous preparation.
In this line, the Chilean squadron will travel to Uruguay on Saturday to play a Three Nations tournament (in which Wales will also participate). It will be held between 13 and 18 June, in addition to two friendly to the same teams (11 to Wales and 20 to the "charruas").
Denise Rojas, a historic Diablas player, gave her impressions before taking her way to the Uruguayan capital and said that "the tour is super important to us as we begin to consolidate the team. They are games we need, the rock is always relevant as well as playing for the points. There was a test with South Africa, we did super well and now the team is more complete."
"South Africa was a difficult team. But I think the World Cup and the United Nations Cup gave us an important leap in quality. They were very positive duels that tell us where we are and we want to be. The parties in Uruguay will therefore come on the same line," he added.
Finally, Rojas thanked the fans for their support: "People must know that the support they give us is a push. Knowing that our house will be full is motivating, there is nothing nicer to play at home."
So, now the Diablas are focusing on their debut in the Three Nations, before the hosts, on a competition that will be key to the Pan-American meeting that is agreed by mid-October.
