The International Hockey Federation Cesped (FIH) officialized the news this Monday. The international tournament Sub 21 will go from 16 to 24 teams in a new announcement that confirms the growth and development of this sport in the country. He joined the United Nations Cup Santiago 2025.
Good news for grass hockey and Chilean sport. International Federation of Hockey Cesped (FIH) confirmed Chile as the host of the next Junior 2025 Women's World Cup. The sub-21 tournament, where players play projects and other well-established, will go from 16 to 24 teams and will be held for the second time in a row in Santiago.
The capital will receive this important competition for the fourth time after the successful version 2023 in the National Stadium, where the Junior Diablas were protagonists and the Netherlands was the champion. National selection is already classified along with the current monarch, Spain, England, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Argentina, United States, Uruguay and Canada.

Nations Cup and Junior Women's World in 2025
The announcement of the organization in Chile of the Junior 2025 Women's World Cup is not the only one that has made the FIH in recent weeks. The country is also an organizer of another women's international field hockey competition: the Nations Cup 2025.
With eight teams classified, where the winner ascends to ProLeague 2025, the championship will be held between 23 February and 2 March at the Claudia Schüler Training and Skills Centre of the National Stadium.
Among the eight participating teams are nations in the vanguard positions of the FIH ranking, and even two of them -Japan and United States- they fought the 2024 Paris Olympics. Both nations add to the picture a Chile, Canada, Ireland, South Korea, New Zealand and Scotland.
