The Chilean adult selections prepare with optimism for their participation in the Uruguay 2025 competition that gives quotas to the 2026 World Cup and the Premungs. In the ladies' picture, the picture changed with Argentina's early classification in the FIH ProLeague.
In days of intense training, Chilean field hockey selections met their rivals of the 2010 Uruguay Pan American Cup group phase. The tournament, which will be held in Montevideo between July 24 and August 3, will deliver a direct quota per painting to the 2026 World Cup and a couple of tickets to the Premunds.
In a news that changed the panorama in the female contest, the classification of Argentina after being second to the FIH ProLeague will allow America to add a further selection to next year's planetary event. The lions obtained their ticket as subchampions behind the Netherlands, which was already classified as host to Belgium.
With this result a quota was released in the Pan American Cup, making Chile (12 °) - the best team of the International Federation's ranking after Argentina (2 °) - one of the main candidates to have a direct ticket.
Both national selections will play the group phase in order to advance to the semifinals and ensure their presence among the outposts as the emerging power of the continent. The Shit., in parallel, they have the third best ranking after the transandines (6 °) and Canada (21 °).
