Chile Hockey officially called for 20 players to play the continental tournament scheduled between July 24 and August 3 in Montevideo. The team of Cristóbal Rodríguez is one of the favorites to get the ticket to the planetary quote after the classification of Argentina.
Chile Hockey this Friday the 20 player payroll who will play the 2010 Uruguay Pan American Cup. The continental tournament - which gives a quota to the World Cup of the Netherlands and Belgium 2026 - will take place in Montevideo from July 24 to August 3 with the best eight selections in America according to the International Federation's ranking (FIH).
In a news that changed the competition perspective, the classification of Argentina after being second to the FIH ProLeague will allow to add a further selection to next year's planetary event. In this context, Diablas appear as the top candidates to reach the second ticket.
The team of Cristóbal Rodríguez appears in the twelfth place of the FIH World Ranking and in the second of America after the Albicelestes. In addition, the Uruguayan capital championship gives three other quotas to the Premunds that are not yet in place or confirmed dates.
Chile integrates the Group B of the Pan American Cup with the United States (14 °), Mexico (29 °) and Trinidad and Tobago (51 °). The A, meanwhile, includes Argentina (2 °), Canada (19 °), Uruguay (22 °) and Paraguay (53 °). The first two of each area advance to semi-finals and the rest of the teams will fight for secondary posts.
